With the name “Primo” meaning “the best” in Italian, it’s no surprise that the company is a leader in the grilling industry. A native to Greece, George first moved to America after he met his now wife, Kelley. Visiting Kelley’s family on Thanksgiving, George was mesmerized by his father-in-law’s kamado grill. Determined to make his own kamado cookers and fill a hole a in the market, George spent the next several years developing and testing his own formula for the materials to get the right blend. Producing one of the only ceramic grills made in the United States, the company’ popularity has soared since 1996. With a factory currently headquartered in Georgia, the brand now sells its products in more than 24 countries worldwide.
