The Teckwood top has a nice color with some variation which looks more like natural wood. It also has a softer feel than some of the other plastic or composite materials I have tested. The legs are solid and there are no crossbars or supporting structures underneath so the chairs fit better with more foot-room than most. Very happy with the purchase
