The rain goes straight through the mesh so no need to dry or protect them from the elements. They are heavy, so will not blow in the wind. They swivel making it easy to get up from the table and they rock so it's extra fun to sit in. The plastic glide cups on the bottom are white, do not slide well and sometimes pop out. I replaced my glides with black Forever Glides 1-1/2 inch. Now my chairs slide very easily on my deck. I think they are comfortable as is and do not feel they need a cushion.

We have wrought iron furniture similar to this that has held up well for over 25 years! The China aluminum furniture is cheaper but you’ll be lucky to get 5 years out of it and the swivels will need maintenance in 2 years. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because it just sits up too straight. I can get it to lean back fine but my wife needs to really push down with her feet to get comfortable. But hey! She only weighs a buck 20.

These high back chairs are very straight and not at all as comfortable as the barrel chairs (that I could no longer find). As we and our friends age, we find that the swivel makes getting in and out of the chair easier. They were delivered quickly ... great service!
