Not the same color as the nice wood pole Dez from Houston, TX 5-11-2023 For a moderately expensive, real wood umbrella, I was disappointed to receive a top decorative Fenial made of cheap plastic. I ordered this umbrella with a light wood pole, yet the fenial was a manila yellow color. You can see the large lines from where the two sides of the plastic mold came together. It looks oversized and awkward compared to the remainder of the umbrella. I called PatioLiving to ask for WOOD fenials to match the WOOD umbrella, even if the fenials had to be small or a different shape. They said these were the ONLY ones and that a substitution for any wood was impossible, then never responding to my follow up email. I ended up having to buy my own 2inch dowel balls, thread each of them with a bolt, stain them to match the umbrella base, and then epoxy them for weather resistance. If the item description would have said the topper was plastic, I would not have bought this product.

I didn't want an umbrella having a crank with internal gears, as they most often rust out and quit working. The Galtech shows quality which should last a long time. Plus when the fabric wears out or fades, you can purchase a replacement. Not having to throw the whole thing out.

My biggest concern was hardware that rusts but the pin assembly looks great and so far no rust. I would purchase this umbrella again.
