The mechanism of the rocker is smooth and easy: the range of motion is small enough that the glider can be placed within a few inches of a wall or window without risk of bumping. It perfectly matches my other dogwood pieces that are 20+ years old, and is a great addition to my outdoor furniture collection. It is comfortable to sit in even without a seat or back cushion.

It is light enough that it can be easily moved by one person to where you want it. It is not a super heavy duty glider so I would not let two very heavy adults sit in it. The finish on it feels very durable. It matches my 20 year old table and chair set nicely. I think I will have this glider just as long or longer...feels like good quality. Lastly, this glider was made in America!

3.0 out of 5.0 Not Too Bad, But Not Great Robert from San Antonio, TX 2-19-2015 I have matching Meadowcraft Dogwood chairs that I bought about 10 years ago. The chairs are of a better quality than the glider. Specifically, the chairs are sturdier, while the glider is made of a lower gauge metal frame and mesh. (I understand that the manufacturer wants to make a lighter weight product, but it makes the glider look flimsy.) Also the glider mechanism uses a method that does not seem to me to be durable enough to withstand many years of use. In addition, the glide is not as smooth as you would expect from Meadowcraft. Finally, the glider arrive with a 3-inch bent in the mesh. But, since I had already waited 3 months for the product to arrive and I had a major social event within a few days, I had to just grin and bear it. All that said, on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give the glider a 7 and would recommend it.
